Pastor Tiffany Lozano - Worship Leader
Tiffany began attending service at MCCC in 2019, was baptized on November 7, 2021, and became part of the leadership in 2022. Tiffany has always had a calling to sing since she was 8 years old but found her passion for singing in worship at MCCC in 2022. In January of 2024, she became the worship leader at MCCC and continued her passion for singing for the Lord. In March 2024 she recruited worship team members who carried a similar calling for worshiping the Lord who are now MCCC's worship team, Ignite Jubilee. Tiffany was installed as one of the pastors at MCCC on January 5, 2025. "Worshiping is not about me standing here to sing for God alone, but about bringing children of God together to praise him and thank him for all he has done and singing our prayers out to him. For that, I am blessed to have my Ignite Jubilee sisters to sing and worship with the church to feel the Holy Spirit within them come alive". " “You are the light of the world." Matthew 5:14
Izette Janet Alaniz - Worship Team
Three years ago, I walked into Mount Calvary Christian church and felt right at home. The worship music was different than what I was used to. I’ve always loved to sing and when I was given the chance to join the worship team and sing for the Lord I couldn’t refuse. I feel the Holy Spirit through the songs, and it moves me. Because of this, my walk has grown so much stronger. I will continue to sing and worship God as long as I am able to. As one of my favorite songs says, "if the stars were made to worship so will I."
Margaret Rose Cantu - Worship Team
I have always loved to sing, especially when worshipping. I was in the Spanish and English choir ,at church growing up. My walk with Christ has gotten stronger as I learn to study his word. "I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations." Psalm 89:1
María Inés Becerra - Worship Team
My name is Maria Ines Becerra. The reason I joined the church service is to praise God and Jesus and to be able to express my love and gratitude towards him. I feel fortunate to belong to Ignite Jubilee because I was lucky to have these friends, sisters who feel and dedicate their voices to our Lord. I hope to continue contributing with this small pinch of sand to magnify our church and continue serving God wherever he leads us and continue proclaiming his name and his word through singing along the path that he leads us until the end. "My lips will rejoice when I sing to you, as will my whole being, that you have saved." Psalm 71:23
Irene Guerrero - Worship Team
Irene grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, as a queer person, she always felt alone. Irene felt there was something missing in her life. As a child, Irene attended a United Methodist church where they learned about God's love, but there was still something missing. Irene felt that being a queer person, she was not going to be accepted so as a teen and later as an adult, Irene would stay home on Sundays. Irene discovered via Facebook that there was an open and affirming church in Harlingen, Tx. Irene remembers walking in through MCCC doors and feeling a great peace and acceptance . Fast forward to the present day, Irene has found herself becoming a Board Advisor. As an advisor, Irene plans to put the experience she brings from other churches to help grow the Kingdom of God. Irene will continue to bring MCCC’s mission to be a light in the dark for many LGBTQ people (along with fellow allies) who ask and wonder if God's love is for them ... YES it is!
